We believe that policy should be evidence-based. To effectively implement development projects and programmes, and to ensure their sustainability, it is important to conduct research (gathering data and information and processing them for the advancement of knowledge) and subsequently use the research results to underpin the implementation of those projects and programmes. Thus, MDCL carries out studies/surveys and provides technical support to organizations and institutions to research and produce reports
With proper planning, monitoring and evaluation, there will be good project and programme management practice. Consequently, chances will be higher that projects and programmes will be successful and sustainable, meet their objectives, and therefore ultimate goals. Some of MDCL’s core areas are project planning, design and implementation as well as project monitoring, review and evaluation. We work with development agencies; managing their social development projects, and providing support to some of their other projects.
Often, the sustainability of projects and programmes is dependent upon the capacity of the institutions and their human resources to manage them. To deliver better service, the skills and strengths of institutions and their manpower to face the challenges of increased responsibility need to be enhanced. In this case, MDCL works with organisations and institutions to conduct needs assessments, training and mentor ship programmes, as well as design, facilitate and deliver seminars and workshops.
